Since 1980, the Burlington Farmers Market has brought together farmers, artisans, and neighbors from all walks of life. Each week, over 5000 community members connect with 75 local farms, food producers, and artists, making the market a cornerstone of community life.
This year marks an important milestone as our first season inviting direct community support through our new 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity - Friends of the Burlington Farmers Market. As we continue to grow and work toward securing a permanent home for the market, donations help us strengthen infrastructure, expand community programs, and keep vendor fees accessible.
This summer, support from sponsors and vendor fees allowed us to host weekly kids events and live music. There’s so much more we can do, and your gift helps to lay the foundation for a stronger, more sustainable market for decades to come.

Fresh Food for Every Neighbor
Everyone deserves access to fresh, local, and nourishing food. At the Burlington Farmers Market, we believe that sharing food is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to care for one another. With rising food costs and changes to federal assistance programs, more of our neighbors are finding it harder to afford the fresh, local food they rely on. Together, we can change that.
Through this campaign, we’re raising funds to provide $20 in Burlington Farmers Market Bucks to anyone who needs help accessing food. These dollars can be spent on any food at the market from farm-fresh produce and baked goods to hot, prepared meals from local vendors. No restrictions or barriers, just the chance for everyone to choose the food that nourishes them best.
Your gift makes a direct, local impact. Every $20 donated provides a neighbor or family with a meaningful connection to our farmers and food makers, plus the dignity of choosing their own food. It’s a small act that helps grow a stronger, more inclusive food community.
